Hellosmile is a network of pediatric dental clinics in NYC. They help to educate, engage and empower underserved communities through a message of health and wellness.
We are working with Hellosmile and the HelloLAB to develop a number of products, systems and services that better the doctor-patient experience and help to improve the health and wellness of each child in the communities they serve.

The Design Difference was a charrette organized by The Japan Society's Innovator's Network and the non-profit Common Ground. Internationally renowned designers and thinkers from Southeast Asia and the United States met to try to address Brownsville's problems through design.
Led by Valerie Casey, founder of the Designers Accord, we helped facilitate the charrette. Afterwards we worked to consolidate the hundreds of community-improving solutions into 5 main design concepts. Tilonia is a mission-driven, social enterprise developing the entrepreneurial skills and business capacity of artisan enterprises managed and owned by rural artisans.
dh studio partnered with Tilonia to design a line of pillows that fuse contemporary design with traditional craftsmanship. The playful modern pillows created through use of scrap material from the Tilonia home collection complete the Tilonia bedding line.

The Happy Hearts Fund works to provide a sustained response in areas affected by natural disasters. They work to improve the lives of children in these areas by restoring and providing resources.
We worked with the Happy Hearts Fund to create a product which would fundraise for the reconstruction of a kindergarten in Tk Al Mutaquien, Indonesia. The kindergarten was destroyed in a 2009 earthquake, leaving over 70 children without a place to learn. Our re-building blocks help to tell the story of Indonesia and support the re-building of the school.Branding, Packaging, Product Design2012
